Council Committees

There are four standing committees of the VSA Council. A member of Council serves on at least one committee, each of which meets weekly and is chaired by a Vice President of the Executive Board. The committees serve to coordinate the efforts of the VSA leadership, writing and discussing legislation, policies, and opinions of Council. The parameters of Council Committees are laid out in Article I, Sections 9-14 of the VSA Bylaws.

Student Life Committee

Addresses issues of student life on campus

Academic Committee

Considers issues relating to students’ academic lives

Activities Committee

Oversees and supports student organizations

Finance Committee

Considers all fund applications and recommends to Council changes to the VSA budgetary policy
