Muddy Cup Café
About
Muddy Cup Café
Unlike the name implies the Muddy Cup does not in fact serve mud. But it does serve some pretty good coffee and lots of other drinks too (try the peppermint patty hot chocolate!), as well as healthy doses of local artwork, music performances, swing dancing lessons, and Brooke’s personal favorite, Scrabble!
Part of a small chain of coffee houses in and around the Hudson Valley, the Poughkeepsie Muddy Cup is a haven for local artists and offers wifi access (that’s right, you can even do your homework here!). Up for some open mic? Check out the Muddy Cup MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/muddycupeventspok to find out when you can unleash your various talents—but you might want to prepare something ahead of time so that you don’t make a fool out of yourself (they have a stage…it looks kind of scary!).
