Completely volunteer operated, this resale shop sells a variety of gently used clothes (and perfect costume making materials, like a pair of ski-like things that we could think of no purpose for) with proceeds going to benefit the Vassar Brothers Auxiliary. Kind of cool, huh? And okay, maybe it isn’t all “nearly new,” but let’s be honest, everyone appreciates a pair of well broken in jeans that benefit a worthy cause.

Aside from clothes, they also sell home appliances. A “nearly new” vacuum in its box? Cheap as free—and definitely necessary for general room maintenance. (Especially after that party where your friend spilled chips on the floor that were then trampled on by ten people. Oops.)
