Emily MacLeod, Class of 2012
Drama & English
Guilford, CT
Solos: “Only in My Dreams,” “Kyrie”, “Medley”
Emily came to Vassar three years ago with a single dream: to sing the hits of the ‘80s,’90s and today with other people who think accompaniment is overrated. Also, she wanted a group of obligatory friends. She likes adding names of exotic fruits to musical arrangements whenever possible.
Curran Perry, Class of 2012
Neuroscience & Behavior
Williamsport, PA
Solos: “Happy Ending,” “Father Figure,” “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”
Curran is the only non-English speaking member of the Minstrels. He is the last living fluent speaker of Jassic, an ancient Hungarian dialect that the rest of the Minstrels halfheartedly pretend to sort of understand. He eats only grass and cannot swallow liquids.
Alijandra Keith, Class of 2012
Religion & Italian
Franklin, TN
Solos: “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “Train in Vain,” “Sweet Dreams”
Ali calls both Nashville and Vegas home as she has lived in 8 different states. On campus you can either find her singing in the Women’s chorus, in a musical, or of course with the Mins, all the while somehow majoring in religion and being Student Advisor. When not singing or “studying” she enjoys horseback riding, beach bumming, cuddling with baby animals and taking long drives to nowhere in her car Paulo.
Mookie Thottam, Class of 2012
Mathematics & Chemistry
Fairfield, CT
Solo: “Break My Stride,” “Comin’ Home Baby”
Mookie’s doing it real big. Between Mads, Davison, and trying to steal Isaac’s peacoat, he’s a busy man. He likes math, fishing, and the VSA, it’s not even a joke. On a more Minstrelsy note, he enjoys swinging his arms at the sound of Katooms and wishes the group sang Midnight Train more.
Dylan-Todd Wilder, Class of 2012
Film
New York, NY
Solos: “The General,” “Afternoons & Coffeespoons”
After short stints working as a one-eyed carny named Steve “No Legs” Macintosh and single-handedly masterminding the infamous Albuquerque Lobster and Doritos Heist of 2009™, Dylan-Todd stumbled, bumbled, and mumbled his way into singing with the Matthew’s Minstrels, and hasn’t looked back since. He probably should sometime. Might be some Doritos left.
Shannon Odell, Class of 2012
Biology
Andover, NJ
Solos: “Roam,” “Medley,” “Dear Prudence”
Shannon was a part-time Mariska Hargitay impersonator who moonlighted as a stripper when she discovered the magic of the Minstrels. Aside from singing with the group, she can juggle up to five unique objects at once and does so often at concerts. She hopes to continue her good fortune and assuage her worries about getting a job in the future by becoming a professional producer of Hallmark greeting cards after graduation.
Lexi Diamond, Class of 2013
Drama
Los Angeles, CA
Solos: “Cry Me a River,” “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”
Lexi appears in the Guinness Book of World Records as the owner of the largest collection of Woman’s Day magazines outside of the Library of Congress. She denies any involvement in the disappearance of Amelia Earhart.
Jordan Miller, Class of 2013
Political Science & Italian
New Rochelle, NY
Solos: “Kiss the Girl,” “Fields of Gold,” “Dear Prudence”
Jordan invented the feather boa and was indirectly responsible for the birth of the first liger. He actively doesn’t participate in sports and has changed his favorite color only once since elementary school. His life goals include owning a hat for every occasion, traveling to all 50 states, and sparking a new dance craze named after an unrelated food product.

Cory Epstein, Class of 2013
Political Science & Jewish Studies
South Orange, NJ
Solo: “Strangelove”
When not home in Jersey, around campus giving tours, or in Davison being Joe Biden to Mookie’s Barack Obama, you can find Cory standing in the middle of the circle at rehearsal for the Minstrels. When he is not singing with his friends, he enjoys reading incessantly about American politics and anything Jewish, as well as looking at pictures of airplanes and booking air travel arrangements for his friends. Shout-out to Mom, Dad, and Hannah!
Miranda Alquist, Class of 2014
Political Science
Brooklyn, NY
Solo: “Samson”
Miranda’s introduction to the world of music began with an obsession with Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the age of two. Since then, she has pursued her love of singing at the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy, at LaGuardia High School in NYC, and now at Vassar. Miranda is thrilled to be a part of this loving and talented group.
Janet Kanzawa, Class of 2014
International Studies & Philosophy
Tokyo, Japan
Solo: “9 to 5″
Born and raised in Japan, Janet is the Minstrels’ first MINternational member. She plays field hockey, volleyball, and the piano, and loves to write music. She lives for sunsets, bubble tea, and conversations about life. Janet will never have enough of singing or a cappella, and is filled with MINlove.
Jada Graves, Class of 2014
Drama
Social Circle, GA
Solo: “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”
Jada began singing at the age of four when she suddenly forgot how to communicate using American Sign Language (ASL). No one really knows how Jada actually became a Minstrel, since her audition consisted of mostly yodeling and vomiting. She spends most of her time sleeping and making questionable baked goods for her acquaintances.
Ethan Slater, Class of 2014
Drama & Music
Washington, D.C.
Solos: “The Lazy Boy,” “Medley”
Ethan started singing on October 14th, 1997. He has been to Europe. Twice. He has a Craigslist profile under the name Davis Gordon. He wrote the songs “Heard It Through The Grapevine,” and “Girlfriend,” but they were picked up before he was signed by an agent so he does not get nearly the amount of royalties that he should. And he has no idea I am writing this.
Brett Merriam, Class of 2015
Undecided
Dallas, TX
Solo: “Dancing in the Moonlight”
Hailing from the great state of Texas, Brett first began singing when he assumed joining choir would be marginally cooler than band in 5th grade. Interests include clashing harmonies, musical theatre, and schadenfreude. Brett’s most recent accomplishments include being accepted into this illustrious group and defeating the Elite Four.
Michael Sandberg, Class of 2015
Philosophy
Albany, CA
Solo: “Build Me Up, Buttercup”
Born and raised in Albany, California, Michael learned to love from a very young age. Early on, he started to appreciate the finer things of life, such as wine, cheese, and working corners. He also enjoys long walks on the beach, dinners by candlelight, and kittens, but don’t let the mushy interior fool you. He wrestles alligators and watches ESPN in his spare time.
Ali Prow, Class 0f 2015
Undecided
Shelby, NC
Ali is determined to live out the full acapella scene while at Vassar: cuddling, singing some soul tunes, making a few dead baby jokes here and there, and eating lots of hummus and Nutella. When not running back and forth between late night practices and Lathrop (L’s up), Ali can be found having “bro time” in the shower, of which Michael Sandberg is extremely jealous. She cannot be held accountable for any spastic, inappropriate comments; she is from North Carolina, ya’ll.
