About our Library

The Phil Library exists to provide both the general body of Philaletheis and the student body of Vassar College with a collection of literary and digital resources in order to achieve the following goals:

• to aid directors in conceiving and preparing full length proposals,
• to give actors a place to find books of monologues, audition advice, and dramatic scenes, and
• to give inquiring minds a place to find dramatic literature that would not otherwise be available in the Vassar College Library.

Borrowing Procedure

Whether you would like to borrow a specific book from the library or just peruse our collection, please send an email to Siobhan Reddy-Best (sireddybest), Philaletheis’ Administrative Manager for the 2010-2011 academic year, in order to schedule an appointment.

• • Books can be checked out for two weeks.
  • Library office hours are from 9:00-9:30 pm on Sundays. Feel free to stop by!–
