The Barefoot Monkeys strive to bring joy to the Vassar community through the circus arts. The Monkeys focus equally on teaching and performance and anyone is welcome to come play with us. Some of the circus arts that we focus on are acrobatics, juggling, poi, staff, diabolo, acro-balancing, fire-spinning etc. We meet every Wednesday and Friday on the quad (or somewhere else if it’s cold and rainy) for ‘playtime’ which is a non-required mixture of a skill-jam/share session and hang out time. Every Friday we have fire practice on the quad where we practice many of our skills on fire.
