Schedule for 10/5
The schedule has been updated (I promise, it has!). You'll notice a couple of big moves!
- Social Dinner has moved to ACDC Room A. Hopefully this will be more convenient for everyone. Seniors should mail Suz for easy access to Social Dinner.
- Most of the events have been moved out of the NSO Room and into CC 204. This is awesome because it's handicap-accessible and we can better advertise now!
And now, to recover from the week. Oh, the homework, the homework!

Schedule for 9/21, and a special opportunity!
The schedule has been updated. Cool stuff found!
- Did you know the NSO has a Facebook page and a Twitter account? Last-minute reminders are often posted here, so subscribe for more frequent updates.
- One Shot Role Playing Games for New Members will be held this this weekend, Sept. 26-27. Watch the newsletter for more info!
- There is an NSO Survey just waiting for you to take it! You can help us provide you with info better suited to your interests.
That's it for this week. Man, school hits you quickly!

Schedule for 9/14/09
The schedule for this week has been updated. Special events this week are the NonCon Interest Meeting in UpCDC on Wednesday and the Constitutional Convention in College Center 204 (second story, around the Villard room) on Sunday. This are important org events, so please come by if you can. Also, a request from Goran,
"I wanted to see if anyone was interested in an event I was hoping to run this semester. I found this game called "Call of Cthulhu" for the original Xbox. It is supposedly quite good in a weird kind of way as well as hilariously buggy. My idea was to meet once a week for an hour or two, or something in between, and play it all together. We could take turns playing, heckling, and just enjoying the supposed craziness. It is playable on the 360 (which the NSO owns) but it would be ideal if someone wanted to bring their original Xbox. Anyway, this event would really depend on people constantly attending otherwise it'd just be me playing alone :(. So if anyone is interested e-mail me atÊgosvorcan@vassar.eduÊand if there are enough people interested I'll start it up. As to why I chose the game, it just seemed NSO appropriate."
Is it the third week of classes already, or am I going crazy? I think it might be both. In either case, there is lots of NSO to go around!

Schedule for 9/6/09
It's a new week with new members and new updates! Things are really kicking into gear this week; we've got the General Interest Meeting which will take place at 8PM in the Lathrop MPR and will take the place of Social Dinner (but we'll make up for it with free pizza!). Don't forget also that our trip to the New York Renaissance Fair will be this Saturday, and if you want to have a seat in a car saved for you, email Ben Reichman (bereichman@vassar.edu) ASAP, especially if you have a car! And if you're awesome like all the cool kids, you'll want to come to ours and ViCE Film League's presentation of Star Trek this Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM in Blodgett Auditorium. Watch the movie and prepare for Next Gen Sci Fi night which starts next week.
Also, events have been declared, so check out the Events page so you don't miss out!

Schedule for 8/31/09
Welcome to the new school year, NSO! Until the website gets a makeover with this year's theme, I have updates for you on what's to come:
SOCIAL DINNER has moved again! In an attempt to keep seniors in the loop, Social Dinner will be held in UpCDC once again, as usual on Monday nights at 6pm. If you plan to get ACDC food, please get it to-go, bring it upstairs to the second floor and hang out with some of the coolest people on campus.
EVENTS: if you would like to run a weekly event, or if you have an idea for a not-weekly event, please email our Ensign Coordinator Ben Reichman (bereichman@vassar.edu).
RenFaire: likewise, if you would like to go to the New York Renaissance Faire, email Ben (bereichman@vassar.edu) by next Monday, Sept. 7!! We are planning our annual trip to be on Saturday, September 12th. ALSO if you have a car and you are willing to drive, please say so and specify how many people you can fit (gas receipts will be reimbursed).
First Meeting will be held next Monday, September 7th. We will be eating PIZZA as well as watching a movie about time travel that I am sure many of you have seen before. All I will say is, if you're going to build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Time and location TBA (will be in next week's newsletter).
Activities Fair is the Sunday 9/6 at 12pm! We will have a table set up there so come say hi!
Thanks to everyone who came to social dinner tonight. We were happy to see some new faces! As we get more events set up, our calendar will fill up fast, so make sure to stay tuned to keep up with what we're doing!
