Services

In an effort to improve the welfare of students, the Vassar Student Association, through its advocacy, works with the College to implement and strengthen an array of services.

Casework

The Casework System is a service designed to provide assistance to a constituent at their request in their dealings with the College or Vassar Student Association. Senators and House Presidents are charged with conducting casework as a part of their advocacy responsibilities. Casework serves as a service of mutual benefit, wherein a student can be provided the necessary support regarding an issue they may be facing and the Vassar Student Association can track issue areas and maintain records to strengthen wider advocacy efforts.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to vsavp@vassar.edu.

V-Wash

VWash funds are provided to all work-study eligible students to use to abate the cost of laundry. Each work-study eligible student is provided $66 per year ($33 per semester) to use to pay for laundry. VWash funds, like VPrint funds, are not visible to students via the Transact eAccounts portal. To use VWash funds, students simply just tap/swipe at the laundry machines. VWash funds are automatically deducted from a student's VWash account balance until the balance has been fully used, and payment for laundry will then use available VCash funds.

Should you have any issues, please contact the Card Office for support.

Saturday Shuttle

The Saturday Shuttle is a bi-weekly shuttle provided to all Vassar students free of charge. The shuttle begins September 17th, and will run every other week thereafter. The shuttle will run hourly starting at 1pm until 10pm on days of service. Reminder that you must bring your Vassar ID to show as you board the shuttle.

VCycle

We are so excited to announce that VCycle, our new bike share program, is officially launched. You need to use your Vassar email to sign up. The bikes will be available to check out from 5 AM to 11:30 PM every day, and you can return them in the off hours as well. Please remember to follow the campus biking regulations and practice respectful biking etiquette as you use these on and off campus. (Use hand signals, wear a helmet, don't wear headphones, be aware of your surroundings, etc). Personal bikes cannot be parked on the VCycle racks as they will prohibit VCycle users from being able to return their bikes. If personal bikes remain locked to the racks, Facilities may remove them. Note: You will be asked to input a credit card number when you sign up, and this is only for liability purposes (you'll only have to pay if you do not return or significantly damage the bike). Otherwise, the bikes are completely free to use. Please be patient with us! Keep in mind that this is a brand new program and we are still working out the kinks. Reach out to our Director of Services, at vsaservice@vassar.edu with any VCycle-related questions.
